Ritual Cycles ……. Live the Ritual!

So, I was sitting in my cubicle staring at my computer screen acting like I was busy and thinking man, there has to be more than this, right? 8 to 5 in a 4ft x 4ft box? I must be one hell of an actor, because I act like I enjoy coming into work everyday. Now my wicked smart brain starts turning and thinking, what can I do, what do I like to do, there has to be something else, what am I going to have for lunch?

I went with a grilled shrimp burrito and thought about starting my own company around something I love to do. I bike, ski, surf, kayak and so on. I have been into alternative sports since I was around 10 when started BMX racing and ramp riding. I don’t want to date myself, but I use to ride a Hutch Pro Racer. For those that knows what that means, right on, right on!!!

It all started with riding a bike, so I decided to start a bike company. I started researching, setting up accounts, etc.  With a credit card in hand, I went out and started ordering everything! I want to make sure everything I do is quality and did not cut any corners.

Why single speed/fixed gear? Because of my BMX days. Nobody that was really into BMX would buy a bike off the shelf. You built it up and made it your own. That is what I am trying to accomplish with Ritual Cycles. Every bike is customized, one of a kind and I hope you find a bike that reaches out to you and says, “hey, that’s my bike!”

I love single speed/fixed gear, because it reminds me of other sports like skiing and surfing. It’s you and the terrain and you have to ride that terrain. You stay focused and attack!!! What ever the terrain throws at you, you have to deal with!!! Geared bikes you just simply shift. Single speed/fixed gear is pure!

I chose the name Ritual because I think that’s exactly what we do! I love the ritual of getting ready, getting out there and living! People that live the way we do, love doing the things we do, live the Ritual!
